Hi! Thank you for playing! One of the old version of the game had the purpose to keep an high score of the coins and chest you collect. But I mentioned in a Devlog that I'm working on a major update where the coins will be useful to buy skins and more useful objects for the character! I'm working on it everyday, I'll keep y'all updated!
So, I saw the game on reddit, I checked it out and I don’t regret it. It's a beautiful game, it's very relaxing and the graphics are great. Your drawings adapt perfectly to the environment and the story. The story was very moving, but the game itself is short, I finished it in about 20-30 minutes. I have read that there will be updates and I hope so, because I would like to play with it again, I love theo the dog. Also, again, I love your art!
Tried Oak Hill as referenced from reddit. One suggestion is to move on to the next dialog entry at the click of a button or the space bar. I did want to read the dialog but it's annoying to have to wait for a timeout.
Personally, I despise rogue -- why spend my gaming time repeating what I've already done? I got a ways into the game and then died and was kicked back to the beginning. I did not continue. At least you could mention it was perma-death in the description of the game.

As mentioned before, I'm working on fix some of these "problems" with an huge update and, since it's my first work, I still have a lot to learn! Also,when you die it just make you restart the level, not the entire game. But I will add checkpoints in the future! And it's mentioned that the dialogues advance on their own, I wanted to add a "continue button" but I wasn't sure. Now that I know that, for some people, it may be annoying I'll surely add it in the future update! Also thank you so much for playing, I hope you had some fun and you liked the story! WOW! I loved this game, I cried at the end. I wasn't expecting this ending, and I loved it. I unlocked the good ending, now I will play it again to see what other endings I missed. Also I love the drawing style and the graphics, and the music was also very nice and relaxing. Hope there will be new contents in the future

Thanks for uploading again. Yes, strange indeed. Opening .rar files is a straight forward process. I do it all the time. Still not able to open the file, getting the same error. Tried to repair the file too. Send me a PM if you'd like to chat and test it out with me. Cheers!

Still no luck unpacking the rar. Here's a Dropbox link with the rar file I downloaded. Maybe it's getting corrupted on my end when it's downloaded. Are you able to open this with no issues on your end? I've made a screenshot for you of the error. As a suggestion, can you drop the game files here (not compressed with rar) so I can run the game. As you can see, I'm already planning to add this game to my Steam library as I've already customized a game cover specifically for Oak Hill. Yes, I'm quite committed to getting this game up and running. Thanks for your help. :-)

Hi again! I unzipped your file on two computers, and I also send it to a friend to see if it works on his pc as well. And it does! It actually works, so at this point I think it may be a problem related (maybe) of your anti-virus or something like this. So I suggest you to install the game on the Itch.io official app, otherwise (if you want it in your Steam library) to wait until I'll be able to publish the game on Steam as well. You nailed it... brilliant deduction... mad troubleshooting skills! Thanks for the tip. I installed the latest version of WinRAR and was able to extract the file. Hopefully, this thread will help others who encounter the same issue.

Use latest version of winrar.
Old versions of winrar can show errors on archives made with the latest version..
